Project: Pā Rongorongo – Digital Wall

Overview:
Created a series of digital pixel-format illustrations to be displayed on the Pā Rongorongo digital wall, located in Auckland City. This installation featured female faces, rendered in pixelated design, adding a unique and artistic representation to the public space. The wall, part of a community-oriented initiative by Auckland City Council, showcased the diverse and dynamic portrayal of femininity in a contemporary digital format.
Role: Illustrator & Digital Designer
Developed custom pixel art illustrations representing female faces, designed to be captivating when projected on a large L.E.D. screen.
Ensured that the designs adhered to the theme and aesthetic of the Pā Rongorongo space, balancing modern digital art with meaningful representations.
Worked closely with the Auckland City Council team to ensure the designs were optimized for digital display and aligned with public art goals.
Outcome:
The Pā Rongorongo Digital Wall became a striking focal point of the Auckland City area, providing an inspiring visual experience for visitors and residents alike. The digital wall’s pixelated female faces sparked conversations around art and gender representation, contributing to the city’s vibrant public art scene.
